3-Ingredient Chocolate Fudge with Sea Salt
Now that we are 6 days away from Christmas, I finally got into the holiday spirit. About time right?
Decorating the apt, shopping for friends and family, and changing the playlist to some Christmas music.
I have to be completely honest here, nothing puts me in the holiday spirit quite like the seasonal sounds of festive holiday music.
So I thought it would be cool to share my top five Christmas songs [drumroll please]:
1) — Sleigh ride
It’s not even Christmas until I hear it. It’s probably my fave holiday song, not surprising it’s a staple in every Christmas movie.
2) — Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
What I really love about this song is that it makes me feel I’m living in a Christmas movie.
Of all the versions this song has, Frank Sinatra's is definitely the best one (obviously!)
3) – Santa Claus is comin’ to town
This is such a great song to sing out loud with family and friends while dancing around the house during the holidays. I know it sounds weird, but do try it, it’s liberating!
4) – Rockin’ around the Christmas tree
I love this one because it has such a great rhythm. Play it while running, it’s such a great power song. For real.
5) – Jingle bell rock
A funny song, but still Christmassy and jolly. Wait, did I just said “jolly”? How old am I?
Christmas is also the best time of the year to make fudge.
Because homemade fudge is far superior than that crumbly slab you buy on impulse at the grocery store.
In addition, I always found store bought fudge to be much too sweet. At times it’s so sweet it feels like a block of chocolate flavored sugar.
That’s why I like to make it at home so I can sweeten it to my own taste — not to mention using a paleo-friendly sweetener.
This 3-Ingredient Chocolate Fudge is made with dark chocolate, a bit of heavy cream, and honey.
The fudge melts in your mouth, and the chocolate flavor is intense. It’s sweet enough, but not cloyingly sweet. The sea salt adds the perfect balance and leaves you craving more.
It is really rich, so a little goes a long way. You will not be disappointed!

Ingredients
Makes 16 squares
15 oz / 425 gr dark chocolate
⅓ cup / 4 oz / 115 gr honey
¼ cup / 2.1 oz / 60 gr heavy cream
Salt flakes
Directions
Line a 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat. Once completely melted add heavy cream and continue cooking for about 40 minutes, stirring every so often, making sure that the mixture doesn’t stick to the bottom or burn.
Add honey and cook for further 10 minutes. The mixture will look a bit crumbly at this stage, that’s okay.
Pour the chocolate mixture into the lined baking sheet and smooth the top with a wetted spatula.
Sprinkle with salt flakes and let cool at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
Cut with a sharp knife into 16 squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
